Electrical customers in the Bay Area should be more or less unaffected by a drop in solar power generated during Monday's solar eclipse because PG&E has measures in place to ensure uninterrupted service, utility officials said today. A vehicle collision in Mendocino County on Sunday afternoon has claimed the life of a 54-year-old Concord woman, according to reports. The website kymkemp.com reported a 1965 Ford Falcon, driven by a 46-year-old Concord man, was traveling southbound on Hwy.101 when a Ford Explorer, for unknown reasons, crossed over the double yellow line and crashed head-on with the Ford Falcon, killing the female passenger.
