INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are in the 2300 block of Hoyt Avenue near Fountain Square on Sunday morning investigating after a man was found shot and killed in front of a house. Officers were dispatched to the area around 4 a.m. Sunday for the report of a burglary in the area but didn't find the address that was called into 911.

2 arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

A traffic stop in the northern part of Bartholomew County resulted in the arrest of two car passengers on drug- related charges. Bartholomew County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Lanning initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with improper taillights near the intersection of County Road West County Road 550N and U.S. 31 North at about 12:07 a.m. Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS - Investigators are trying to figure out if bones someone found on the west side Saturday afternoon are human remains. IMPD says person discovered possible human remains in 1600 block of Oliver Avenue.

Evansville siblings beat Indy man to death, court docs say

According to a police affidavit, siblings Cheryl Rumsey, 55, and Steven Bailey, 54, both of Evansville, beat up Rumsey's boyfriend, Paul William Phillips II, 53, of Indianapolis. Bailey allegedly told police that he and Rumsey were in a room with Phillips when Rumsey and Phillips got into an argument that turned physical.
