Police identify pedestrian killed while crossing Ave. Q on Friday

Just before 6:40 p.m. on December 8th, Lubbock Police received a call for a crash involving a pedestrian in the 5200 block of Avenue Q South Drive. When officers arrived they located a male pedestrian lying on the roadway on Avenue Q. The pedestrian, identified as 36-year-old Segundo Garcia, was taken to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
