A shopper fought back against a felon who attempted to steal her vehicle and steal her purse at Hammock Landing Tuesday night, West Melbourne police said. Dwayne Jermaine Walker, 28, of the 1800 block of Tamworth Street, Palm Bay was charged with carjacking without a firearm, robbery by sudden snatching, battery, resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.
