Mount Union's starting quarterback D'Angelo Fulford, 20, was arrested following a routine traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in the 10000 block of Louisville Street and taken into custody after Stark County deputies learned he had an active warrant out of Florida for failing to appear in Broward County juvenile court for an alleged assault case from August of 2015. Defense attorney Jeffrey Jakmides said Friday afternoon that he hadn't seen the paperwork; however, during an extradition hearing Friday morning a Stark County judge agreed to release Fulford on bond as long as Fulford reported to Florida on Dec. 20. Jakmides said that he believes the warrant was issued as a result of the nonappearance due to a communication issue.
