A Dana Point woman was recovering Tuesday after reconstructive surgery, her family waiting patiently for her to awaken two days after she was shot in the face by a mass killer during the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. Natalie Grumet, 37, an ultrasound technician at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, was reported in stable condition at a Las Vegas hospital following surgery to repair her shattered jawbone.

Orange County man accused of domestic violence in Inland hotel

A Mission Viejo man was free on bail after being accused in a domestic disturbance Sunday morning at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rancho Cucamonga, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said. Jason Carl Lauricella, 39, was arrested on suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse/cohabitant and child cruelty, jail records showed.
