The deceased man, identified as Manuel Reyes, 78, was crossing the crosswalk on 8th St. near Golder Ave. when a silver Ford truck going west on 8th St. struck him. We're told that Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.

PCSD arrests Texas man on multiple counts

A routine patrol by a Pike County Sheriff's Deputy lead to the arrest of a Odessa, Texas man Wednesday, March 14. The deputy was patrolling State Highway 96 and noticed a vehicle on the side of the roadway just north of State Highway 106, near Hull. Upon closer investigation, the deputy found Michael R. Chilton, 43, slumped over in the driver's seat of the truck.
