Daniel Hernandez, who was recently released from jail for a probation violation on a prior commercial burglary case, was re-arrested because he matched the description of a person in a surveillance video from a burglary of Pepito's Restaurant at 6535 Magnolia Ave. on June 20, the statement said.

Riverside transient accused of setting five fires in Arlington neighborhood

A transient man was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with five fires in structures throughout Riverside's Arlington neighborhood, including the fire Saturday in the Riverside County Social Services building. Daniel Moreno, 32, was detained by police about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after they responded to a fire at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Reynolds Road - the same street where the Social Services building is - said Riverside Fire Department Fire Investigations Capt.
