Riverside County Animal Service officers removed a venomous snake from a man's pool Thursday, and no, he wasn't Samuel L. Jackson. The red diamond rattlesnake was first spotted in the pool Wednesday night at a home on Angelica Court in an unincorporated area between Corona and Riverside, according to a news release from the Riverside County Department of Animal Services.

Authorities had to pepper spray at least one dog, possibly two, after a driver crashed into a Riverside marijuana dispensary Wednesday night, California Highway Patrol officials said. CHP officers were called to the dispensary at 240 Iowa Ave. around 9:30 p.m. for a vehicle that had crashed into the business's gate and partially into the building itself, according to a CHP dispatcher.
