Attorney General Becerra Announces Takedown of Stockton Street Gangs

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced the arrest of 47 individuals; seizure of 35 firearms, and 10 of them were assault rifles; nearly $44,000 in currency; and the seizure of 34 pounds of marijuana, 2 pounds of methamphetamine, and 2 pounds of cocaine as part of a takedown of gang members in Stockton. This operation, which took place Tuesday, targeted criminal activities by members of the MOB, Flyboys, East Coast Crips, Conway Gangsters, Sierra Vista Project and Glock Team gangs.

Man dies after freakish highway accident

STOCKTON - An 84-year-old Stockton man involved in Friday's freakish accident at the Highway 4/99 interchange died Saturday in a hospital, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to its report, the CHP stated the elderly driver was initially stopped on the right shoulder of the southbound 99 transition ramp to westbound Highway 4 at approximately 9:37 a.m. Friday when he attempted to get back on southbound 99, making a left turn across both lanes of the transition ramp that put him perpendicular to oncoming traffic.
