Toledo's first significantly accumulating snow that's "shovelable," is likely to begin in time for Wednesday's evening rush hour, predicts Jay Berschback, chief meteorologist with WTVG-TV Channel. As of midday Tuesday, the National Weather Service office in Cleveland expected 1 to 3 inches to fall in metro Toledo during daylight Wednesday, mostly after 3 p.m., and then another 1 to 3 inches after darkness, mainly before 11 p.m. Those two amounts should not be added for a storm-total estimate; the weather service's forecasters' discussion said northern Ohio overall should expect "a widespread couple of inches" from the event.

Ex-mayoral candidate James Moody guilty of fraud charges

Toledo Realtor and one-time mayoral candidate James Moody was found guilty Monday in U.S. District Court of conspiring to defraud the government of money intended for job training programs. The jury of six men and six women deliberated nearly nine hours Friday and Monday morning before returning guilty verdicts on all counts against Moody, 56, and co-defendants, Victoria Hawkins, 30, and Angela Bowser, 46. Moody, who ran unsuccessfully for Toledo mayor in 2009, was the sole shareholder in Business Rehabilitation Informed Decisions Guiding Employment Strategies or BRIDGES, a company that contracted with Lucas County Job and Family Services to provide job training and placement for persons on public assistance.
