Man gets life in prison for killing girlfriend, shooting kids

A Birmingham man was ordered to spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of killing his girlfriend and shooting several of his children. Sedrick Letzie Norris, 39, was convicted after a trial in August on two counts of capital murder--the charges made capital because the victim had a protection order against Norris and because the crime was committed during the course of a burglary--and four counts of attempted murder for a 2016 shooting that killed Coral Anita Wilson and injured four of Wilson and Norris' young children.
