Whitaker, the city's founder, named the city Buena Park, perhaps after a Chicago suburb of the same name. Trial begins for Hume in SFS slaying

Jury selection began Thursday in the trial of a man accused of killing a rival with his pickup truck at a Santa Fe Springs intersection.
