Authorities ID Chula Vista bicyclist killed by pickup

A bicyclist who was struck and killed by a pickup Tuesday night in Chula Vista was identified as a 44-year-old resident of the city. Eduardo Garduno was riding a bicycle around 10:20 p.m. when he reportedly went through a red light on Second Avenue near Palomar Street and was struck by a 2000 Toyota Tacoma, according to Chula Vista police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
