The city issued a permit Wednesday for Champion Brands Inc. to build its almost 36,000-square-foot headquarters building at 5520 Florida Mining Blvd. S. at a cost of $6.5 million. Jacksonville-based Champion Brands, a beer and beverage distributor, is based in a 115,307-square-foot office-warehouse at 5571 Florida Mining Blvd. S. When the new building is completed early next year, the company will demolish the office space at its warehouse for a 40,000-square-foot warehouse expansion.
