Extra officers were assigned to the campus of a local high school Monday after a threatening note was found in a campus bathroom, authorities said. According to police, students walked into a bathroom at Livermore High School, 600 Maple St., at 11:46 a.m. and found the handwritten note alleging a direct threat to the school.

A man suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon in a solo motorcycle accident on Mines Road about 20 miles southeast of Livermore in rural Alameda County, Alameda County Fire officials said on social media Sunday. The accident was reported about 1:15 p.m. near mile marker 17 on Mines Road.
