LP&L OKs budget with no rate increase for first time in 5 years

Lubbock's Electric Utility Board approved a $254.5 million budget for next fiscal year that doesn't include a rate increase and outlines $149 million for capital improvement projects. After four straight years of increases to Lubbock Power & Light's base rate, the FY 2018-19 budget calls for the rate to remain flat.

District 4 City Councilman Steve Massengale
