If approved by the Public Service Commission, Madison Water Utility's residential customers could see their monthly bills increase, the City of Madison Amy Barrilleaux, a spokesperson with MWU, said this increase only applies to Madison Water Utility's charges on the Municipal Services Bill, which accounts for about one-third of the total bill. Other charges - like sewer, stormwater, landfill and urban forestry - are not levied by MWU.

Suspect arrested in recent string of wallet and backpack thefts

Police say they have arrested a man who they suspect snatched wallets from at least three women in recent months. Anthony K. Williams, 52, no permanent address was arrested and faces two theft charges, and six misappropriation of personal identifying materials charges.

One dead, driver arrested in Rock County rollover crash

Deputies responded to the scene around 4:00 a.m. The investigation shows a Lincoln SUV was traveling eastbound on County Highway BT and did not stop at the intersection at County Highway S.
