Bahraini firm buys Northeast Ohio industrial portfolio

A Bahraini investment firm has purchased a seven-building industrial portfolio in Northeast Ohio through a joint venture with locally owned Weston, Inc. Arcapita , which focuses on real estate and private equity, said Tuesday that it had bought the buildings for an undisclosed price. The sales closed late Friday but have not yet appeared in public records in Cuyahoga and Summit counties.

Parma City Schools students benefiting from federal Gear Up grant program

As a recipient of the federal Gear Up grant, Parma City Schools annually serves more than 4,000 students with individual sessions aimed at increasing college attendance. "All of the students who complete the Gear Up program and go on to post-secondary education receive a renewable college scholarship each semester," Gear Up Parma Site Director Cathy Graham said.
