A police officer in southeast Wisconsin has been on paid leave for more than 2 years after he was accused of using excessive force while arresting a high school student. Racine Police and Fire Commission officials say a hearing for officer Brinelle Nabors has been delayed due to a recommendation from the U.S. Department of Justice to prevent separate investigations from overlapping.

A third person has been charged in connection to a June home invasion in the 4400 block of 89th Street. Madisen L. Rozewicz, 17, of Racine, has been charged with one count of burglary of a building as party to a crime, a felony, for her role in planning the June 9 home invasion.

Report: Wisconsin cities face $2.25B in unfunded liabilities

The Racine County Sheriff's Office says a deputy has been injured by a man who was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired in the Village of Union Grove. The sheriff's office says deputies responded Wednesday to a reckless driving call reporting that a vehicle was traveling about 80 mph and driving all over the road.

Washington, 49, Sheila Greyer-Holloman, 45, and Terial Greyer, 26, face charges of burglary, as party to a crime, a felony, and theft of movable property , a felony, after $2,626 was taken from the 52nd St. Quick Shop, 3404 52nd St., on May 26, 2018. According to the criminal complaint in the case filed Monday, around 8 p.m. on May 26, Washington, Greyer-Holloman, Greyer and an unidentified fourth woman entered the store and immediately "appear to be keeping the two employees occupied," surveillance video showed officers.
