Stockton Police officers had another busy night Friday dealing with a series of robberies in two hours across the city. DA announces conviction, guilty plea

Today a Humboldt County jury found Jessie Matthew Herrera guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon. These crimes were discovered on the morning of Saturday February 3, 2018, when Eureka Police Department Officer Jonathan Eckert stopped a car traveling the wrong direction on the one-way section of Allard Avenue.

Youth group to rally outside City Hall for diabetes awareness

The local chapter of an Oakland-based youth organization plans to hold a rally outside Stockton City Hall next week to raise awareness of diabetes and its health risks. The group will also have five members speak to Stockton City Council members at the beginning of Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. meeting, urging leaders to take action against the American Beverage Association, spokeswoman Ashley Vazquez said.

In a courtroom crowded with their family members and friends on Thursday, six people accused of taking part in a gang-related crime spree, which authorities said included three homicides, had their arraignment continued until the end of August. Jesus Martinez, 20; Salvador Vega, 28; Jose Daniel Maya, 18; and Adrian Jesus Henry, 20, face multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder and conspiracy, and also gang enhancements, according to a complaint filed by the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office.
